[Prevention of link, XSS and SQL injection attacks.]

SALC 1.6.5c has been released which increases security throughout the Shop a la Cart system:

• Prevention of link, XSS and SQL injection attacks.  Thanks to a security audit from Ariko Security, we have been notified and subsequently fixed several vulnerabilities in the Storefront and BackOffice code that could be used to exploit data and inject links into pages.  The changes included in this hotfix solve all known vulnerabilities.

A bonus addition:

• Quick add of products.  You can now add a product much faster into the system.  Just click "Add New" under Products and fill out the product's basic information to add it in the new dialog that appears.  Optionally, you can jump to directly to the more advanced product options once it has been added to the system.

We would love the ability to sort products of sub-sub categories. Right now you can only sort products in sub categories. Please let me know if this is possible!

[The cart module has been revamped.]

SALC 1.6.5b has been released which fixes ALL known reported bugs.  Here are the bugs resolved in this version of Shop a la Cart:

• The cart module has been revamped.  The shopping cart module has been fully re-coded throughout the cart and checkout process to save cart info to the database, rather than in session cookies.  This fixes a bug which "locks" the cart when a customer logs in.  This update also stabilizes websites using SSL between the cart and checkout areas and also increases security throughout the site.
• The new category images now includes "Content-Only" pages.  You can now select an image for a content-only page from those within your products.  Hint: If you want a custom image for your content-only page, just create a hidden product to hold the image.

As of version 1.6.5 of Shop a la Cart, you can now add Google Analytics to your site much more easily.  Just login to the BackOffice and click "Configuration > Cart Settings" to add a "Google Analytics Code" and "Google Conversion Code" to your site to track your visitors.

I'm sorry... I thought I had activated them in the template.  I just went through and set that up.

Those 3 pages (Shipping, Returns & FAQs) are now available under "Pages" in the BackOffice.  Two do not have content, so you'll want to add that as soon as you have it available.

Thanks for that quick fix!

I was wondering when the links under the Customer Service would be available (Shipping, Returns & FAQs)? Maybe I am just missing it somewhere in the backoffice?!

Also on the contact us page there is information that is displayed permanently
