Its not a big deal or anything, but I realized that the back office doesn't support Mozilla, so when using it, I obviously run into a couple errors and bugs that normally don't pose as a problem. It is possibly to fix those bugs? I only ask because I prefer using Mozilla over other browsers.

The main problem- When editing a product, customer or category, the "Save Changes" and "Cancel" button is not placed in the correct spot. Sometimes it is placed over text boxes I need to use, making it impossible to edit certain area's unless I switch over to Internet Explorer.

Thanks for bringing it up, Tatjana.  It's actually an important topic for me as well, since my browser of choice is Google Chrome, which also is somewhat unsupported in Shop a la Cart.

Currently, here is the working status of each browser in relation to Shop a la Cart:

Internet Explorer (ver.6 and above)
- No issues

Mozilla Firefox
- Display issues (specifically on tabbed pages)

Google Chrome, Safari
- Rich-text editor / Advanced rich-text editor not available
- Display issues (specifically on tabbed pages)


We'll have the display issues solved very soon.  We're currently working on a re-design of all Add/Edit pages to simplify updates and make everything much more user-friendly (our ultimate goal).  A by-product of this update will be the fix of the display issues in the browsers listed above.

This all comes in version 1.6 of Shop a la Cart.

Oh that's great! I always hated using Internet Explorer, so this will be nice.

Great news!  Grin We have swapped out the rich-text editor in SALC for a new, completely cross-browser and faster loading rich-text editor.  This solves all RTE compatability issues that existed before, so the rich-text editor (seen throughout the BackOffice) now works in all major browsers.

Also, all display issues that we're aware of which made using Firefox, Safari or Chrome a pain in the #%!$ to use with the BackOffice are now solved.

All of this is available in SALC version 1.5.8 which updates automatically today.

Here's the NEW working status of each browser in relation to Shop a la Cart (version 1.5.8 ):

Internet Explorer (ver.6 and up), Mozilla Firefox (v.2.0 and up),
Google Chrome (v.0.2.149 and up), Safari (v3.1.2 and up):

- No compatibility or display issues

IMPORTANT: If you have used the SALC BackOffice recently with an unsupported browser and still see any display issues, make sure to CLEAR YOUR CACHE to refresh the code on the page.  Old compatability issues can be pretty "sticky".
