SALC 1.6.2 has been released with the following new feature additions and improvements:
- User interface improvements to Admin homepage. In an effort to simplify and improve your initial experience logging in, your BackOffice homepage now sports a new design and layout.
- Use coupon codes for your discounts. Coupon codes can be used by your customers at checkout time which can either trigger FREE ground shipping or a percentage OFF of an order's subtotal (before taxes/shipping). BackOffice Administrators also have the ability to setup coupon code limits so that a particular customer can only use a code once, or only between certain specific dates.
- 2 new Order Status types added. You can now more specifically set your customer's order status with 2 new Order Status types: "Customer Action Required" and "Completed".
- States list updated. Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands (U.S.) have been added to the list of available states for customer addresses. For legacy purposes, they have also been kept in the list of available countries.
- Hide your Handling charges. You can now choose whether or not you would like to hide any additional Handling charges you apply to all orders (under Configuration > Shipping) into the shipping charge itself. This option is ENABLED by default, but is disabled automatically if Free Shipping is available to the customer at checkout.
- A very new New icon. The outdated yellow NEW icon has been happily replaced.
SALC 1.6.2 also fixes the following known bugs:
- Customer unable to change password. Existing customers were unable to update their own passwords through their account manager. When updated, the 'Change Password' page would simply refresh without affecting the account. This has been resolved in SALC v.1.6.2.
- Limited access user sometimes logged out. BackOffice users with limited access to Products were occassionally logged out when accessing certain products when the system incorrectly found that a restricted area was being accessed. This has been resolved in SALC v.1.6.2.
- Special Offers page item images not showing. Item-related Special Offer discounts at checkout were showing "Image Coming Soon" instead of the correct product image. This has been resolved in SALC v.1.6.2.
- Real-time Shipping Rates from UPS error. If the real-time shipping rates from UPS would, for any reason, not arrive correctly from the UPS server, a customer may receive a shipping estimate of an empty (null) value. New redundancies have been added to triple-check all received communication from UPS, and this has been now resolved in SALC v.1.6.2.
